Middle East Tension After Ayatollah Khamenei’s Death

Fighting between Iran, Israel, and the United States has escalated. The tension rose sharply after Israeli strikes reportedly killed Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Iranian authorities confirmed his death.

Khamenei was inside his office when missiles hit. The attack followed joint operations by Israel and the United States.
