Pakistan is taking major steps toward agricultural growth and self-sufficiency under the Green Pakistan Initiative. PhoneGro is playing a key role by introducing modern farming technology and smart agriculture solutions.
The company uses advanced machinery to promote international-standard smart farming. Modern irrigation systems, solar-powered solutions, and eco-friendly methods ensure efficient water use. These innovations are helping farmers manage resources sustainably.
Precision farming is improving thanks to drones, sensors, and satellite technology. Farmers can now monitor crops closely and optimize yields.
In livestock, PhoneGro is enhancing production with high-genetic-quality animals, IVF technology, and embryo transfer methods. These measures have increased both milk and meat output across farms.
PhoneGro has set a target to establish a zone-based National Herd Improvement Program by 2028. This initiative aims to improve livestock quality nationwide.
Dr. Shumreez, PhoneGro’s Livestock Manager, said that in March 2024 the company imported top-quality livestock from Brazil. Since then, they have produced over 150,000 semen doses, many of which have reached farmers across Pakistan.
Additionally, PhoneGro’s labs have produced over 3,000 embryos. More than 800 farms have received these embryos, allowing ordinary farmers to access high-genetic livestock. This has significantly increased milk and meat production for smallholders.
The Green Pakistan Initiative is accelerating agricultural innovation and sustainability. Farmers are now better equipped with modern techniques and technology. This supports productivity, environmental sustainability, and self-reliance in agriculture.
Overall, the initiative is strengthening Pakistan’s farming and livestock sectors. With advanced machinery, precision farming, and genetic livestock programs, the country is moving toward a more productive and self-sufficient agricultural economy.
