Pakistani actor Hamza Ali Abbasi has denied any connection to the FIA case involving his sister, Dr Fazeela Abbasi. The case relates to alleged financial irregularities in her bank accounts.
Hamza shared a statement on Instagram. He said media reports wrongly suggested he was part of the investigation. “I am not under any investigation by any agency, nor am I part of this case in any capacity,” he said.
He called his sister “a highly accomplished professional” and said he supports her fully. Hamza added that her side of the story deserves to be heard and that he trusts institutions to ensure justice.
He clarified that his legal and professional affairs are separate from his sister’s. Since he is not a party to the case, he cannot comment on its details. He also warned media outlets not to link his name to the matter. He said false reporting may force him to take legal action.
Dr Fazeela Abbasi is a celebrity dermatologist and aesthetician. Authorities say around Rs25 billion passed through 22 bank accounts linked to her. Some transactions were reportedly sent to Dubai and the United States. Investigators questioned the scale of these transactions because her declared annual income is much smaller.
The Islamabad High Court had previously closed the case. However, a sessions court reopened it after her interim bail was cancelled. Investigators are now checking the source of funds.
Hamza and Dr Fazeela are both well-known in Pakistan. Hamza is a top actor, and Dr Fazeela is a leading name in aesthetic medicine. Despite speculation, Hamza is not involved in the ongoing investigation.
