Saudi Arabia has launched a fully funded research internship for Pakistani students, offering strong financial and academic support. The program gives young scholars the opportunity to gain international research experience. Selected students will receive a $1,000 monthly stipend.
King Abdullah University of Science and Technology has opened applications for its Visiting Student Research Program 2026. The university welcomes undergraduate and master’s students from Pakistan and other countries. It aims to connect students with world-class research facilities.
The internship covers all major expenses. The university will provide round-trip airfare and free on-campus housing. It will also offer full health insurance and visa support.
Students will work in advanced laboratories with modern equipment. They will conduct research under the supervision of globally recognized faculty members. The internship will run for three to six months.
The program focuses on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields. Research areas include computer science, engineering, energy studies, environmental science, and biological sciences. Participants will gain hands-on research experience.
Undergraduate students in at least their third year and master’s students can apply with a minimum GPA of 3.5. The university expects strong academic performance. PhD students and current or former KAUST students are not eligible.
Applicants must demonstrate English proficiency, but IELTS or TOEFL scores are not compulsory. Students must apply through the official online portal. They need to submit a CV, transcripts, a recommendation letter, a personal statement, and a copy of a valid passport.
