Islamabad: NADRA has introduced a new update to its Pak-ID mobile application. The latest version brings an important feature aimed at improving data security and public awareness.
The new Pak-ID app update allows citizens to check where their identity information has been used. This feature helps users stay informed about the verification of their CNIC and digital credentials.
According to officials, the updated app enables users to track verification history in real time. Citizens can now see which institutions or individuals accessed their identity data for verification.
The feature is simple to use. After logging into the Pak-ID app, users can open the menu and select the Verification History option.
The “All Shared” section displays a full record of verifications. These include QR code scans, fingerprints, facial recognition, and CNIC number checks.
Separate sections clearly show verification methods. Users can see which organizations verified their data through QR codes, fingerprints, facial images, or CNIC numbers.
NADRA said the update focuses on transparency and stronger data protection. The authority believes this step will increase trust in digital identity services.
Citizens are advised to update the Pak-ID app to access the new feature. NADRA also confirmed that more digital improvements will be introduced in the future.
