Security Fears? National T20 Tournament Left Peshawar

In a sudden move, the Pakistan Cricket Board shifted the National T20 Tournament from Peshawar to Rawalpindi.

The tournament was set to begin on March 5 at Arbab Niaz Stadium in Peshawar. Officials had completed all arrangements. However, tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan changed the plan.

Now, matches from March 5 to March 14 will take place at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Meanwhile, Peshawar will host the two semi-finals on March 16 and the final on March 17.

Earlier, the PCB had officially awarded full hosting rights to Peshawar. The schedule was announced, and preparations were complete. Therefore, the sudden shift surprised many fans.

The PCB has not released an official statement explaining the decision. However, sources say security concerns forced the board to relocate the National T20 Tournament.

As a result, Rawalpindi will host most of the action, while Peshawar gets the knockout matches. Despite the change, the National T20 Tournament will begin as planned on March 5.

Cricket fans now wait to see how this decision affects the event atmosphere and crowd turnout.
