Pakistan Launches Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq After Escalation at Pak-Afghan Border

Pakistan has launched Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq following renewed escalation in Pakistan Afghanistan border clashes. Security officials state the action was initiated after alleged unprovoked firing from across the border.

According to security sources, multiple sectors including Bajaur’s Nawagai and Tirah in Khyber witnessed intense exchanges. Pakistani forces responded with coordinated ground and aerial measures.

A check post in the Chitral sector was reportedly destroyed during the retaliatory action. Officials described the response as measured and targeted.

In Mohmand’s Gursal sector, further engagements were reported between the two sides. Security sources confirmed that several militant positions were neutralized.

Two posts in Bajaur were dismantled as part of the ongoing Pakistan military operation. Authorities also claimed control of a post located in Afghanistan’s Paktika province after fighters allegedly withdrew.

Near the Kurram sector, additional hideouts were targeted during the expanding phase of Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq. A position in Angoor Adda was also struck, according to official sources.

Security officials report significant militant casualties in the clashes. Sources claim that 133 Afghan Taliban fighters were killed and more than 200 injured.

Authorities further stated that quadcopters were allegedly used to target Pakistani check posts. Security forces reported shooting down the drones before they could inflict damage.

Targeted drone strikes were also conducted against selected positions across the border. Officials maintain that the objective remains to secure vulnerable sectors along the frontier.

Security sources have cautioned against misinformation circulating on certain platforms. They claim false narratives and edited videos are being shared regarding the situation.

Pakistan’s security forces say they remain on high alert amid continued Pak-Afghan border tension. They have reiterated readiness to respond firmly to any further aggression.

During the operation, two Pakistan Army soldiers were martyred while defending the border. Three others sustained injuries and are receiving medical treatment.

Tensions along the frontier remain elevated as Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq continues. Officials state the operation aims to reinforce border security and deter future cross-border attacks.
