Over 270 Taliban Regime Personnel, Terrorists Killed: ISPR Chief

Director General ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry says Operation Ghazab Lil Haq is in progress and will continue until its targets are fully met.

He reported that 274 personnel and militants of the Taliban regime have been killed and over 400 injured in a detailed media briefing on the operation.

He also blurted that the Afghan Taliban regime and the terrorist entities targeting Pakistan are not different.

The DG ISPR also claimed that the international community is aware that Operation Ghazab Lil Haq was an effort to protect Pakistan and its people.

He said that on the night of Feb. 21 and Feb. 22, overnight, Pakistani forces hit militant hideouts near the border.

Reacting to this, the Afghan Taliban opened fire at 53 positions in 15 sectors along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

All 53 attacks were repelled.

Pakistan issued what he called a strong and decisive response wherever it could.

So far, more than 74 Taliban posts have been completely destroyed as part of Operation Ghazab Lil Haq.

Now, 18 enemy outposts are in the possession of the Pak Army.

During the ongoing action, security forces have also destroyed 115 enemy tanks and armored vehicles.

Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif confirmed that 12 Pakistani soldiers were martyred in the country’s defence line, and 27 others received injuries.

He also added that active drone attacks in cities such as Abbottabad and Nowshera had been successfully intercepted.

The last decade, however, saw an unprecedented level of violence by Pakistani forces targeting 22 hideouts used by groups considered hostile elements, including both Fitna al Khawarij and Fitna al Hindustan.

There were precision strikes in Kabul, Paktia, and Kandahar with very clear military objectives.

The DG ISPR noted that Operation Ghazab Lil Haq was focused solely on military targets.

Militant hideouts and munition centers were obliterated accurately without touching civilian sites.

He said fighters fled the area, abandoning equipment and the bodies of their fighters.

The Pakistan Air Force attacked the headquarters of an infantry brigade in Kabul.

A second brigade headquarters in Kandahar was destroyed in the joint operation.

The operation is carried out under the command of the Prime Minister, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif said.

Operation Ghazab Lil Haq will proceed until all targets assigned in the mission are achieved.

He reaffirmed Pakistan’s full commitment to defending its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Border provinces are on constant watch.

Security forces are on full alert to respond to any further aggression.
