According to port sources, a tanker carrying petrol arrived from Jizan Port in Saudi Arabia. The vessel MT Petazoli brought approximately 38,965 metric tons of motor oil. Authorities plan to berth the ship at the FOTCO terminal for smooth unloading. As a result, operations at Qasim Port remain active and well-managed.
Meanwhile, Qasim Port is also preparing for more arrivals. Two coal vessels and one palm oil ship are currently waiting at the outer anchorage. Port authorities expect these ships to dock soon. Therefore, the port continues to handle diverse cargo efficiently.
In the last 24 hours, officials handled 10 ships at the port. At present, the port has 2 container ships, 5 bulk cargo vessels, and 3 petroleum carriers. This steady movement shows strong operational performance. In addition, it reflects the port’s ability to manage high traffic without delays.
Cargo data further highlights the activity at Qasim Port. A total of 168,850 metric tons of goods passed through the port. Out of this, 136,936 metric tons were imports, while 31,914 metric tons were exports. Consequently, Qasim Port plays a key role in supporting trade flow.
During the same period, 8 ships arrived at Port, while 2 vessels departed. Moreover, 3 more ships are expected to leave soon. This continuous movement keeps port operations dynamic and balanced.
