In the United Arab Emirates, the Council for Fatwa has called on residents to observe the crescent of Ramadan on the evening of the 29th of Sha’ban. Authorities encouraged people to report verified sightings through approved channels.
A dedicated moon-sighting committee will convene in Abu Dhabi in the evening to review data from observatories and public testimonies. After examining the evidence, officials will formally announce whether Ramadan will begin the following day.
