Pakistani Citizen Killed in UAE After Missile Intercept Sparks Shock

The United Arab Emirates said its air defense system intercepted several ballistic missiles launched from Iran. The missiles were destroyed in mid-air before reaching their intended targets.

According to Arab media reports, debris from the destroyed missiles fell in Abu Dhabi, striking a foreign national. The person was severely injured and taken to a nearby hospital but did not survive.

Initially, Gulf News reported that the victim was from an Asian country. Later, local media identified him as a Pakistani citizen. The body of the Pakistani national will be sent back to his hometown after completing formal procedures. Authorities have not yet released his name or age.

This incident comes amid escalating tensions in the region. The United States and Israel recently carried out airstrikes on military and sensitive sites in Iran, killing over 70 people, including 51 primary school girls who were attending classes at the time.

In retaliation, Iran has targeted U.S. bases and interests in Arab countries. One such missile was launched toward U.S. facilities in the UAE. Although the UAE’s air defense system successfully intercepted the missile, falling debris caused the death of the Pakistani citizen.

The UAE authorities are continuing investigations and ensuring safety measures are in place to prevent further civilian casualties.
