However, when absorption problems exist, injections provide a more reliable solution. Patients with pernicious anemia or severe deficiency may require regular intramuscular Vitamin B12 injections. Doctors often begin with frequent doses, then shift to maintenance therapy.

At the same time, dietary adjustments strengthen recovery. Including B12-rich foods such as beef, fish, eggs, and dairy products helps maintain adequate levels. Those who follow plant-based diets should rely on fortified foods or consistent supplementation.
