On 14 October 2026, a Pakistan Army convoy was moving through the rugged hills of Razmak in North Waziristan. Militants had planned their ambush with care. However, the soldiers in that convoy answered with everything they had.
Naik Muzaffar was among them. When the firing started, he stood his ground beside his comrades. Finally, he embraced shahadat on that mountain road, together with three fellow soldiers.
The Ambush at Razmak
The convoy came under sudden, planned fire as it passed through the Razmak area. The troops responded at once and engaged the attackers. Meanwhile, more soldiers moved in to seal off the area.
Security forces cordoned off the whole area after the attack. In addition, a search operation was launched to hunt down the perpetrators. The military has made it clear that such sacrifices only strengthen its resolve to wipe out terrorism.
Four soldiers gave their lives that day. Moreover, Havildar Ghulam Mustafa, Naik Muzaffar, Naik Niaz Ahmed and Sepoy Mudassir will forever be remembered as the brave sons who never came home from Razmak.
A Naik of the Pakistan Army
A naik is not just a rank. It is a responsibility. In the Pakistan Army, a naik leads a section of men in the field, and above all, his soldiers look to him when danger closes in.
Naik Muzaffar carried that responsibility on his shoulders. His photograph from the field shows a soldier fully in his element: combat helmet on, tactical vest strapped tight, a checkered scarf around his neck, standing before a stone wall topped with barbed wire. Indeed, this was his world, and he owned it.
Service in North Waziristan asks more of a soldier than most postings. The land is harsh, the threat is real, and every convoy movement carries risk. For example, soldiers on these roads know that any journey could be their last. Yet they still go, because the mission matters more than the fear.
The Nation Remembers
Finally, funeral prayers for the martyrs were offered at their native towns with full military honours. Their families received them the way the nation receives its heroes: with pride wrapped in grief.
Naik Muzaffar’s sacrifice will not go in vain. Instead, it joins the long line of sacrifices that have kept Pakistan standing. His name now lives among the shuhada, the martyrs whose blood guards this land.
