Feature Pakistan is an independent digital news publication. This page explains how we choose, verify, write and correct our news, so readers — and reviewers — can see the standards behind every article.
How we report
- We write our news in our own words from verified facts. We do not copy or closely paraphrase reports from other outlets, wire services or press releases.
- Every story is checked against a primary source where one exists — an official announcement, government or regulator statement, court record, company filing, board result or direct quotation — and, for major developments, against a second credible source.
- Names, dates, figures, places and quotations are confirmed before publication. Confirmed facts are separated from claims, allegations and speculation, and allegations are attributed to who made them.
- If we use information first reported by another outlet, we credit that outlet and link to it, and we add our own reporting: context, background, a verified update, or what the development means for readers in Pakistan.
Originality
Each news article must add value beyond the source material: a local Pakistan angle, a verified newer development, a data point or history from our own prior coverage (linked), or clear explainer background. Articles that are straight reports are the exception, not the norm.
Images
We use real photographs only — official/handout images, licensed images, or images we are permitted to use — with a credit in the caption (“Image: Source”). We do not use misleading, unrelated or uncredited images.
Corrections
If we make an error, we correct it. See our Corrections and Fact-Checking Policy. Readers can report an error at featurepakistanofficial@gmail.com with the headline and URL.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made by our newsroom. Sponsored or paid content, when published, is clearly labelled “Sponsored” and kept separate from news coverage. Advertisers do not influence our reporting.
