Gauth AI to Give 4,000 Free Subscriptions in Pakistan, 1,000 for Daanish School Teachers
The Gauth AI free subscriptions Pakistan announcement will put 4,000 free subscriptions of the AI study tool into the hands of teachers and students, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced on Monday at a memorandum of understanding signing ceremony between the Ministry of Education and Gauth AI.
Of the 4,000 free subscriptions, 1,000 will go to teachers at the newly inaugurated Daanish School on Kuri Road in Islamabad. He said the remaining subscriptions would benefit students and teachers across the country. At the ceremony, the prime minister thanked Gauth AI, ByteDance and TikTok, saying the partnership could create new opportunities for young people across Pakistan.
What the Gauth AI free subscriptions Pakistan offer includes
Gauth is an AI-powered study tool that helps students solve academic problems and understand concepts through step-by-step explanations. Students can type a question or upload a photo of a problem to receive help, particularly in mathematics, physics and chemistry.
The platform also offers AI tutoring, practice questions and revision support, aiming to teach problem-solving rather than just giving answers. Teachers note, however, that AI explanations can contain mistakes, so students should verify answers against textbooks and teachers’ guidance.
Why the Daanish Schools were chosen first
PM Shehbaz said 1,000 of the free subscriptions would go to teachers at Daanish School Islamabad. He praised the school’s principal and teachers following his recent visit and said he expected students to perform well in their examinations.
The prime minister said the government had already provided educational facilities at the school, including laboratories and other resources. He assured students that there would be no shortage of support for their education.
He also highlighted the school’s boarding, lodging, food and free uniform facilities. Daanish Schools provide free education to children from underprivileged backgrounds, and the prime minister recently inaugurated the Islamabad campus on Kuri Road. One Daanish School graduate, Dr Alina, became the institution’s first female doctor, showing the network’s growing record in producing professionals.
Pakistan to get paid Gauth versions after the US
IT Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja told the ceremony that the paid versions of Gauth AI were being launched in Pakistan. She said Pakistan would be the first country after the United States to receive this facility.
She said TikTok had also made its AI technology available in the country. Maria Kohan, regional director of global public policy at ByteDance, said technology could inspire creativity, widen opportunities and improve access to education.
The minister said the initiative reflected the prime minister’s vision of promoting information technology-led development and improving the education sector through modern digital solutions.
Government plans wider AI and technology reforms
PM Shehbaz said aligning Pakistan’s education system with modern requirements and artificial intelligence was essential. He said young people needed access to advanced information technology and digital skills to prepare for the future.
The government would continue working with provincial authorities to improve educational standards and expand cooperation with international technology companies, he added. Punjab is separately expanding its laptop and scholarship schemes for students, while broader curriculum reforms remain under discussion.
The prime minister also stressed the need to maintain construction standards at Daanish Schools. He said particular attention would be paid to the quality of ongoing building work.
He expressed hope that the Gauth AI partnership would develop into a long-term relationship. The announcement comes as AI tools reshape classrooms worldwide, though research shows AI-generated content is flooding professional platforms too, a reminder that such tools need careful, critical use.
