Iran Backs China’s Joint Security Plan, Says Ghalibaf

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said Tehran fully supports China’s proposal for a new regional security framework. He said Iran believes cooperation among regional countries can help create long-term stability and reduce dependence on outside powers.

Ghalibaf said China’s call for joint security matches Iran’s long-standing position on regional cooperation. Also he added that countries in the region should work together and take responsibility for their own security matters.

The Iranian parliament speaker explained that sustainable peace requires a security system developed by regional nations themselves. He said Iran remains ready to participate in efforts to build stronger cooperation among neighboring countries.

According to Ghalibaf, the region can achieve greater stability when countries focus on mutual trust and shared interests. He stressed that relying heavily on external forces creates challenges for independent security decisions.

The statement came after China promoted a new approach for Middle East security. Moreover, Chinese President Xi Jinping recently highlighted the need for a framework based on cooperation, shared security, and long-term stability.

Xi presented a four-point strategy during discussions with Egyptian leadership. The Chinese president called for a security model that supports dialogue, development, and cooperation among Middle Eastern nations.

Ghalibaf said Iran welcomes this vision because it believes regional countries understand their own security needs better. He added that local cooperation can provide more effective solutions compared with approaches led by countries outside the region.

The Iranian official also urged Middle Eastern nations to strengthen economic and diplomatic ties. He said stronger partnerships can help countries overcome security challenges and create a more stable environment.

The discussion around the Iran-China Security Plan comes at a time when several countries are seeking new diplomatic arrangements in the Middle East. Regional tensions and geopolitical competition have increased calls for alternative security mechanisms.

Iran has repeatedly supported greater regional involvement in security decisions. Tehran believes neighboring countries should play a central role in managing regional issues.

Ghalibaf said foreign influence should not replace cooperation between regional states. He also argued that countries can protect their interests through dialogue, coordination, and collective efforts.

China’s proposal focuses on creating a broader security structure that includes cooperation between Middle Eastern nations. Beijing has presented the idea as a way to encourage stability and reduce conflicts in the region.

Iran’s support for the Iran-China Security Plan reflects the growing relationship between Tehran and Beijing. Both countries have expanded diplomatic and economic cooperation in recent years.

Ghalibaf emphasized that Iran wants practical steps toward regional peace. He said cooperation should move beyond political statements and include real measures that improve security.

He added that countries should build trust through communication and peaceful solutions. According to him, a cooperative security model can create better conditions for future generations.

The Iranian speaker’s remarks show Tehran’s willingness to work with China and other regional partners on security matters. Iran believes a locally developed framework can bring lasting stability to the Middle East.

As discussions continue, the Iran-China Security Plan is expected to remain part of wider debates about the region’s future security structure. Countries are closely watching how these proposals develop and whether they can bring practical changes.
