Kuwait City: Kuwait Airways has temporarily halted all incoming and outgoing flights after authorities closed the country’s airspace due to security concerns.
The announcement came after aviation officials issued new directives. As a result, Kuwait Airways immediately stopped flight operations to ensure passenger safety and maintain operational security.
The airline said it made the decision as a precautionary step. Moreover, officials stressed that traveler safety remains their highest priority during the ongoing situation.
According to the airline, the suspension will continue until authorities reopen the national airspace. Therefore, passengers may experience delays and schedule disruptions in the coming days.
Kuwait Airways assured travelers that it will release updated flight schedules as soon as airspace operations resume. In addition, the airline promised to provide timely updates through its official communication channels.
The carrier also introduced special flexibility measures for affected passengers. Consequently, travelers who wish to cancel or modify their bookings during this period can do so without paying additional cancellation or change fees.
Kuwait Airways encouraged customers to stay informed through its website, mobile application, and customer service centers. Furthermore, airline representatives advised passengers not to travel to airports until they receive confirmation regarding their flight status.
The temporary suspension follows growing regional concerns affecting air travel across parts of the Middle East. Several airlines continue to monitor developments closely and adjust operations when necessary.
Meanwhile, Kuwait Airways continues to coordinate with aviation authorities and relevant government agencies. The airline aims to restore normal services as quickly as possible once conditions allow safe operations.
For now, Kuwait Airways urges passengers to check official updates regularly. The airline says it will provide fresh information immediately after authorities reopen the airspace and approve the resumption of commercial flights.
