Pakistan Citizen’s Portal: how it works
The system built to carry your complaint to the Prime Minister’s office.
Launched on 28 October 2018, the Pakistan Citizen’s Portal (PCP) is an integrated grievance-redressal system connecting all federal and provincial government organisations. Citizens register a complaint through the smartphone app, the website, email or Facebook — or through the toll-free helpline and manual desks — and the complaint is routed to the concerned department with a deadline. The PM’s Performance Delivery Unit monitors the whole process, and complainants give feedback on whether they were satisfied — feedback that feeds into officers’ performance records. The app was ranked the second-best government app at the World Government Summit in Dubai, competing against 4,646 apps from 87 countries. If you have one channel to remember, this is it.
Beware of fake numbers
A warning worth repeating.
Search results for “prime minister contact number Pakistan” are full of invented mobile numbers, fake WhatsApp contacts and “direct lines” that have nothing to do with the government. The Prime Minister’s personal phone number is not public and never will be. Anyone offering it — especially anyone asking for money, “processing fees” or personal documents — is running a scam. The only numbers and addresses that count are the ones on pmo.gov.pk and citizenportal.gov.pk.
