History
Opened in 1970 and named after Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Hosted the 1989 and 2004 South Asian Games, the 2005 SAFF Championship finals, the 2014 SAFF Women’s Championship and FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Today
Home of Pakistan’s football internationals and national athletics. The track’s World Athletics Class 2 certification (Certificate S-23-0356-1, issued 28 August 2026) confirms it meets international technical standards.
