Washington: The United States has announced a major Iran port blockade, escalating tensions in the region. Military officials confirmed that the move will restrict maritime activity at Iranian ports.
According to the United States Central Command, authorities will stop ship movement to and from Iranian ports as part of the port blockade. Officials stated that port traffic will halt at 10 AM, with full enforcement to follow later in the day.
Meanwhile, the United States Navy will begin implementing the Iran port blockade at 7 PM Pakistan time. Authorities clarified that the restrictions will apply to vessels from all countries without exception.

On the other hand, Iran has responded with strong warnings. The commander of the Iranian Navy stated that forces are closely monitoring US military movements in the region. He emphasized that Iran remains fully alert during the Iran port blockade.
Moreover, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps warned that any hostile action would trigger a strong response. Officials stated that Iran stands ready to defend its waters and sovereignty.
