Bangladesh’s Test Win surprised cricket fans worldwide as the visitors defeated the strong Australian side by nine wickets. The victory gave Bangladesh a 1-0 lead in the series and created a memorable moment in the team’s cricket history.

Bangladesh started their Australia tour with confidence after a successful home series against the Kangaroos. Earlier this year, Bangladesh defeated Australia in an ODI series on their own ground for the first time.

The Darwin Test also showed Bangladesh’s growing strength in international cricket. The team controlled the match from the beginning and kept pressure on Australia throughout all sessions.

Australia struggled in their first innings as Bangladesh’s bowlers delivered an outstanding performance. The hosts lost all their wickets for 198, giving Bangladesh an early advantage.

Steve Smith remained Australia’s top performer in the first innings with 71 runs. However, other Australian batters failed to build strong partnerships against the disciplined Bangladesh bowling attack.

Hasan Mahmud became the main hero of the match with his exceptional bowling performance. The fast bowler claimed six wickets in the first innings and played a key role in restricting Australia.

Taskin Ahmed and Ebadot Hossain also supported the bowling attack by taking two wickets each. Their combined effort helped Bangladesh dominate the Australian batting lineup.

Australia’s Josh Hazlewood remained their most successful bowler in the first innings. He picked up six wickets but could not stop Bangladesh from building a strong total.

The Bangladesh Test Win became closer when Australia returned for their second innings. Cameron Green scored a century and helped Australia reach 284 runs, setting a target of 57 runs for Bangladesh.

Bangladesh’s bowlers once again showed excellent control in the second innings. Mehidy Hasan Miraz took five wickets, while Hasan Mahmud claimed three wickets to put Australia under pressure.

The visitors completed the target comfortably after losing only one wicket. Mominul Haque remained unbeaten with 30 runs, while Shadman Islam finished with 25 runs without losing his wicket.

This historic result also highlighted Bangladesh’s improvement in Test cricket. The team showed strong batting, effective bowling, and excellent match management against one of the world’s strongest cricket nations.

The Bangladesh Test Win marked Bangladesh’s first Test victory over Australia and added another important achievement to their cricket journey. The performance also increased expectations from the team in future international competitions.

The second and final Test match of the series will take place from August 22 to August 26. Bangladesh will aim to continue their winning momentum and complete a memorable series performance.

Bangladesh had already created history earlier this year by defeating Australia in a three-match ODI series. The latest Test victory further strengthens their reputation as a competitive international cricket team.
