Saudi Arabia assures support for Pakistan’s energy crisis. The assurance came during an important meeting between Federal Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik and Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki.
During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in the petroleum and energy sectors. They also reviewed investment opportunities and refinery upgrade plans. As a result, officials expressed optimism about future collaboration between the two countries.
Pakistan’s energy crisis has increased pressure on industries, businesses, and domestic consumers. Therefore, the government continues to seek support from friendly countries to improve fuel supply and strengthen energy infrastructure.
According to the official statement, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are working on long-term investment projects. In addition, both countries are exploring opportunities to modernize refineries. Officials also confirmed positive progress in technical-level consultations regarding future cooperation.
Ali Pervaiz Malik said Pakistan wants to expand its strategic energy partnership with Saudi Arabia, especially with Saudi Aramco. He added that stronger cooperation can help improve energy security and attract more foreign investment to Pakistan.
Meanwhile, Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting peace and stability in the region. He also reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to supporting Pakistan in key sectors.
Pakistan’s energy crisis remains one of the government’s biggest economic challenges. However, officials believe that Saudi support and refinery upgrades can improve fuel management and reduce pressure on the national economy.
Ali Pervaiz Malik also thanked Saudi Arabia for giving Pakistan special priority in petroleum supplies. Furthermore, he said the government is making continuous efforts to meet public energy needs.
