Poco X8s Launched With 3,500-Nit OLED and 12GB RAM for $310

Poco has quietly launched the Poco X8s in Vietnam, adding a fifth phone to its X8 series. The Poco X8s price specs put it firmly in the upper mid-range: a 6.35-inch 3,500-nit OLED, Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 and 100W charging, with launch vouchers cutting the price to $310.

The phone’s 6.35-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED display runs at a 120Hz refresh rate and reaches up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness, with slim 1.18mm bezels. It uses a metal frame, measures about 8.06mm thick, weighs around 187 grams, and carries an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. The available colours are White, Black and Blue.

Poco X8s price specs in detail

Under the hood, the X8s runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset built on a 4nm process. It ships with either 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB or 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage, with no card slot. The phone runs Android 16 with HyperOS 3, and connectivity includes 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, USB Type-C and an infrared blaster.

The rear camera system pairs a 50MP primary camera with an 8MP ultrawide, while a 32MP front camera handles selfies and video calls. ProPakistani notes that the main camera configuration has not been reported consistently across sources, so buyers should treat the finer camera details with caution.

The battery is a 6,330mAh unit with 100W wired charging, 100W PPS charging and 22.5W wired reverse charging, enough to refill the phone in well under an hour.

On pricing, the 8GB and 256GB model costs $440 in Vietnam, while the 12GB and 512GB version is priced at $530. Launch vouchers bring those down to $310 and $390 respectively. Pre-orders are scheduled to ship between Nov 6 and Nov 9, and early buyers can also get Redmi Buds 6 Play at no extra cost, subject to availability, ProPakistani reported.

A crowded mid-range, and no Pakistan date yet

The launch slots the X8s into one of the most contested segments of the phone market, where Poco faces Samsung’s refreshed Galaxy M series. Samsung’s Galaxy M08 and F08 recently launched with their own spec sheets, and the Poco X8s answers with a brighter display and faster charging at a comparable price.

For Pakistani buyers, the key detail is geography: the launch is Vietnam-only for now, with no regional rollout announced. Poco phones typically reach Pakistan weeks or months after their first Asian launches, often through official distributors at adjusted prices. Until a Pakistan launch is confirmed, the $310 voucher price is a reference point rather than a local price tag.

The timing is notable. With Apple’s first foldable hitting stores this Friday at the premium end and AI features reshaping what phones are expected to do, the mid-range battle is increasingly fought on display quality and charging speed, exactly the two areas where the X8s is strongest.
