The Government of Sindh has taken another major step to modernize public education by introducing a Digital Teacher Attendance system across selected districts. The initiative aims to improve transparency, strengthen accountability, and ensure that teachers remain present in schools during working hours.
The provincial cabinet approved the launch of the new attendance platform during a high-level meeting chaired by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah. Senior officials from the School Education Department also attended the meeting and reviewed the implementation plan in detail.
The new Digital Teacher Attendance system will work through advanced facial recognition technology. Instead of relying on manual registers, teachers will mark their attendance through a secure digital process that verifies their identity in real time.
