Pakistan Super League Standings: Points Table, Teams & Every Winner

How the PSL table works, who sits where it matters, all eight franchises, and every champion from Islamabad United’s 2016 triumph to Peshawar Zalmi’s 2026 crown.

Last updated: 11 October 2026

The Pakistan Super League standings are decided by a points table: 2 points for a win, 1 for a no-result, 0 for a loss, with net run rate (NRR) breaking ties. The latest completed season, PSL 11 (2026), was won by Peshawar Zalmi — their second title — beating debutants Hyderabad Kingsmen by 5 wickets in the final at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. Across eleven seasons, Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars lead with 3 titles each, followed by Peshawar Zalmi (2), and Quetta Gladiators, Karachi Kings and Multan Sultans (1 each).

The format

How the PSL Standings Work

Points decide the table; net run rate decides the ties; the playoffs decide the champion.

2

Points for a win

Two points for a win, one for a no-result or tie, zero for a loss. Teams are ranked by points, then net run rate.

NRR

Net run rate

The classic T20 tiebreaker: runs scored per over minus runs conceded per over. One heavy defeat can wreck an NRR built over weeks.

PO

The playoffs

PSL 11 introduced a new structure: a single-league round robin, then a Super Four stage, then playoffs — Qualifier, two Eliminators and the Final.

The full mechanics — with examples — are in PSL points table explained.

PSL 2026 Season Recap (PSL 11)

The biggest PSL yet: eight teams, 44 matches, a new format — and a familiar champion.

PSL 11 ran from 26 March to 3 May 2026, overlapping with the IPL for the second straight year. The PCB auctioned two new franchises on 8 January 2026 in Islamabad — the Hyderabad Kingsmen and Rawalpindi Pindiz — taking the league to eight teams. Matches were played in Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan and, for the first time, Faisalabad’s Iqbal Stadium. The new format saw a single round-robin followed by a Super Four stage and then the playoffs. In the final at Gaddafi Stadium, Peshawar Zalmi beat Hyderabad Kingsmen by 5 wickets to lift their second title, nine years after their first. Full season guide: PSL 2026.

2016 – 2026

PSL Timeline: Ten Years in Eleven Seasons

From a five-team experiment in Dubai to an eight-team spectacle at home — how the league grew.

2016–2017

The Dubai years

Five teams, UAE venues, and proof of concept. Islamabad United won the inaugural edition; Peshawar Zalmi took the 2017 title in the first final played on Pakistani soil, in Lahore.

2018–2019

Coming home

Multan Sultans joined as the sixth team. Islamabad won again in 2018; Quetta Gladiators broke through in 2019. More matches moved to Karachi and Lahore each year.

2020–2021

The COVID seasons

Karachi Kings won the pandemic-hit 2020 season in an empty National Stadium; Multan Sultans lifted the 2021 trophy in Abu Dhabi after the season was split by COVID.

2022–2025

The Lahore era

Shaheen Afridi’s Qalandars won back-to-back titles (2022, 2023), Islamabad took 2024 in a last-over thriller, and Lahore returned in 2025 with a record 202-run chase in the final.

Then came expansion: two new teams, a new format, and Peshawar Zalmi’s 2026 redemption. The next chapter is the PSL 2026 season guide.

Numbers

PSL Records That Define the League

The numbers behind eleven seasons — the runs, the wickets and the moments that became legend.

588

Most runs, single season

Babar Azam’s 588 runs for Peshawar Zalmi in PSL 11 (2026) — the highest tally in one edition, built on relentless consistency at the top.

202

Highest final chase

Lahore Qalandars chased 202 against Quetta Gladiators in the 2025 final — a record for any T20 final, sealed with a ball to spare.

1 run

Closest final

Lahore beat Multan by a single run in the 2023 final — the narrowest margin in PSL history, and back-to-back titles for the Qalandars.

Other landmarks: the league’s first century-makers, the great fast-bowling hauls of the early UAE years, and Multan’s four consecutive finals (2021–2024) — a consistency record that may never be broken. For the team-by-team story, see PSL teams.
