Garmin Enduro 4 promises 90-day battery life at $899.99

Garmin announced the Enduro 4 on October 6, a new ultra-endurance GPS smartwatch that keeps the line’s headline feature intact: up to 90 days of battery life in smartwatch mode with solar charging. The watch goes on sale tomorrow, October 9, at $899.99.

The Enduro series targets ultra runners, long-distance hikers and multi-day adventurers who treat battery anxiety as a design problem. This generation is less a reinvention than a refinement: the same body and the same battery figures, with doubled storage, more memory and a software package borrowed from the newer Fenix 9.

What is new: Garmin Enduro 4

Storage doubling to 64GB is the most practical hardware change, making room for offline maps and music on long trips. The extra RAM makes map panning 30 per cent faster. New software features include grade-adjusted pace, which corrects target and current pace for hills, stamina zones that track energy reserves during a run, and Garmin Epic, which stitches days or weeks of activity into one story in Garmin Connect. Rowing and ruck, or weighted-backpack, tools join more than 100 sport profiles.

The 1.4-inch memory-in-pixel display is a low-power screen designed to stay readable in bright sunlight, and the Power Sapphire lens layers solar cells into the screen cover. In expedition or power-saver mode with enough daylight, Garmin says runtime can stretch toward unlimited. The 320-hour GPS figure assumes steady, strong sunlight; real-world use with sensors running will return less.

Susan Lyman, Garmin vice president of consumer sales and marketing, said: “As interest and participation in ultra-endurance activities continue to grow, Enduro 4 is designed for athletes and adventurers who want gear they can trust to perform through every mile, every climb and every challenge.”

Who it is for

At $899.99, the Enduro 4 costs the same as its predecessor’s launch price, while the Enduro 3 remains on shelves for less. That makes the upgrade case narrow: the buyers who gain most are those hitting storage limits on maps, or athletes who want the new stamina and pace tools. For everyone else with an Enduro 3, the battery that made the line famous is unchanged.

The watch is not expected to be a volume seller in Pakistan, where Garmin’s official retail presence is thin. But the Enduro 4 sets the benchmark every other endurance watch is judged against, and grey-market listings usually follow within weeks of the international launch.

How long does the Garmin Enduro 4 battery really last?

Garmin claims up to 90 days in smartwatch mode with sufficient solar charging, 36 days without solar, and up to 320 hours of GPS tracking in ideal sunlight. Heavy sensor use and poor light reduce these figures.

What is the difference between the Enduro 4 and the Enduro 3?

Storage doubles from 32GB to 64GB, RAM increases by 50 per cent, a new ComfortFit fabric strap replaces the old loop, and the software gains grade-adjusted pace, stamina zones, Garmin Epic and rucking tools. The case, display, lens and battery figures are unchanged.

When and where can I buy it?

Garmin lists the watch for order from October 9, 2026 at $899.99 in the US. Regional pricing for the UK, Europe and South Asia had not been published at the time of the announcement.
