National T20 Cup 2025 Set to Begin in Faisalabad Today

​The National T20 Cup 2025 is set to commence today, March 14, at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad. The opening match features defending champions Karachi Region Whites facing Islamabad Region at 7:00 PM PKT.

The second match of the day will see Bahawalpur Region compete against Dera Murad Jamali Region at 11:00 PM PKT at the same venue. ​

This year’s tournament includes 18 teams representing 16 regions, divided into four groups:​

  • Group A: Karachi Blues, Lahore Whites, Larkana Region, Peshawar Region, Quetta Region​
  • Group B: Karachi Whites, Bahawalpur Region, Dera Murad Jamali Region, Islamabad Region, Lahore Blues​
  • Group C: Abbottabad Region, Faisalabad Region, Hyderabad Region, Rawalpindi Region​
  • Group D: Azad Jammu & Kashmir Region, FATA Region, Multan Region, Sialkot Region​

Matches are scheduled across multiple venues, including Gaddafi Stadium and LCCA Ground in Lahore and Multan Cricket Stadium in Multan.

Knockout Stage & Prize Money

The knockout stages will begin with the quarterfinals on March 23 and 24, followed by the semifinals on March 26, all at Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad.

The final is set for March 27, with the champions earning a PKR 5 million prize, and the runners-up receiving PKR 2.5 million. ​

Match Timings & Broadcast Details:

  • Faisalabad (Iqbal Stadium): Double-header matches start at 7:00 PM PKT and 11:00 PM PKT.​
  • Lahore & Multan: Matches commence at 4:30 PM PKT and 9:00 PM PKT.​

To encourage attendance, entry to Iqbal Stadium is FREE for spectators from March 14 to 20.

Tickets will be required for matches from March 21 to 27, including the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and final, and will be available at TCS express centers. ​

In a recent development, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has intervened to halt the proposed reduction in match fees for domestic players participating in the National T20 Cup.

Initially, there were plans to reduce the match fees by 75%, but following the chairman’s intervention, the fees are expected to revert to the previous amount of PKR 40,000 per match. ​

With top-tier talent and intense competition expected, the National T20 Cup 2025 promises to deliver thrilling cricket action over the coming weeks.​
