How Many Animals Have Arrived at the Cattle Market So Far?

Karachi: The main cattle market on Northern Bypass continues to attract traders and visitors, with the number of sacrificial animals now exceeding 125,000.

Officials said animals from different parts of Pakistan arrive at the cattle market daily. Traders have brought cows, bulls, goats, and camels from Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the market administration, several blocks remain active with a steady flow of animals. These include Sibi Block, Sapphire Block, Kashmir Block, Golden Block, KPK Block, and Pahari Block.

Meanwhile, authorities have also improved facilities for traders and visitors at the cattle market. Officials said traders in the general block are receiving free electricity and water services around the clock.

Administrator Tariq Tanoli stated that every section of the cattle market now has access to free, clean water twenty-four hours a day. In addition, heavy generators continue to provide uninterrupted electricity throughout the market.

He further explained that management teams are working continuously to maintain a comfortable environment for both buyers and sellers.

Moreover, security officials have strengthened monitoring around the market to ensure public safety. Authorities have put in place security measures on major roads leading to the market area.

At the same time, parking management teams are welcoming visitors at entry points to avoid traffic problems and improve crowd management.

The cattle market has also become a popular attraction for families, vloggers, and social media creators. Large numbers of YouTubers and content creators visit the market daily to record videos of expensive and beautiful sacrificial animals.

As evening approaches, the entire cattle market lights up with colorful bulbs and decorative lighting. Visitors continue shopping late into the night while enjoying food stalls and family-friendly activities.

Food vendors inside the market are also receiving large crowds. The smell of barbecue, traditional snacks, and local dishes creates a festive atmosphere across the market.

Traders expect the number of animals at the cattle market to increase further in the coming days as Eid al-Adha approaches. Market officials believe this year’s business activity may remain stronger than previous years due to high public interest and improved facilities.
