Islamabad: The Kerosene Oil Price has increased sharply following the government’s announcement of a fresh revision in petroleum product rates. Along with higher petrol and diesel prices, consumers who rely on kerosene for household and commercial use will now face a significant rise in fuel costs.
According to the latest notification issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the Kerosene Oil Price has increased by Rs. 34.33 per liter. As a result, the new rate is Rs. 276.66 per liter, up from Rs. 242.33 per liter.
The latest increase comes at a time when inflation continues to put pressure on household budgets across Pakistan. Many families in rural and remote areas depend on kerosene for cooking, heating, and lighting. Therefore, the revised Kerosene Oil Price is likely to increase daily living expenses for thousands of consumers.
At the same time, the government has also revised the prices of other major petroleum products. Petrol now costs Rs. 316.15 per liter, up Rs. 5.44 per liter. Likewise, the price of high-speed diesel has risen by Rs. 31.05 per liter, bringing the new rate to Rs. 354.35 per liter.
These adjustments affect private motorists, transport operators, businesses, and industries that depend on fuel every day. As transportation costs rise, many consumers expect higher prices for goods and services in the coming days. Fuel price increases often affect the overall cost of doing business because transportation plays a key role in the supply chain.
Meanwhile, the latest Kerosene Oil Price revision has attracted attention because it represents the largest increase among the announced petroleum product price revisions. Consumers who regularly use kerosene may need to adjust their monthly budgets to accommodate the additional expense. Small businesses that depend on kerosene could also experience higher operating costs.
Furthermore, many people continue to monitor petroleum prices closely because they directly affect household spending. Even a moderate increase in fuel prices can influence transportation charges, food distribution costs, and utility expenses. Consequently, any change in the Kerosene Oil Price receives widespread public attention.
The government stated that the revised petroleum prices will remain effective from July 18 to July 20, 2026. During this period, all petrol pumps and fuel stations across the country will sell petroleum products according to the updated official rates.
Industry observers believe international oil market movements and related pricing factors continue to influence domestic fuel prices. However, consumers remain concerned about the financial impact of repeated increases in petroleum products, especially as living costs continue to rise.
For now, motorists, transport companies, businesses, and households will need to adjust to the latest fuel rates. The new Kerosene Oil Price, along with higher petrol and diesel prices, adds another financial burden for consumers already facing rising everyday expenses.
