Overseas Pakistanis — nearly 10 million strong — get their own window in the Citizen Portal system. Here is how the diaspora channel works.
Quick answer: Overseas Pakistanis file through the Pakistan Citizen Portal’s dedicated overseas section: complaints on NADRA, passports, consular services and property route to missions and departments, with E-Kachehri virtual hearings.
How it works from abroad
Register on the portal with your CNIC/NICOP and an international mobile number, select the overseas Pakistanis category, and file. Complaints route to the relevant Pakistani mission abroad or the home department (NADRA, Directorate of Passports, land authorities), with the same tracking and escalation as domestic complaints.
The heaviest-used categories
- NADRA: NICOP issuance, renewals, family registration
- Passports: renewals and machine-readable passport issues via missions
- Property: land-grabbing and transfer disputes back home — a perennial diaspora complaint
- Consular: attestation, visas for family, emergency assistance
E-Kachehri: virtual open courts
E-Kachehri lets overseas Pakistanis join virtual open-court sessions with department officials — no flight home required to be heard. Schedules are announced through the portal and mission channels.
