PIMS Tragedy Report Delayed Despite Probe

The PIMS tragedy report has not been presented even three days after the incident. The investigation committee formed to examine the PIMS nursery tragedy has yet to release its initial findings.

The delay has raised questions about the inquiry’s progress. Authorities earlier expected the committee to complete its first review and submit the report quickly.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif formed the investigation committee, led by former Interior Secretary Shahid Khan. The committee started reviewing the incident and recorded statements from hospital staff and officials.

The investigation team collected details related to the tragic incident. Officials examined the circumstances and focused on finding the reasons behind the loss of newborn lives.

However, the PIMS tragedy report remains unavailable despite earlier assurances. Government officials had said the initial findings would reach the Prime Minister soon.

Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar informed Parliament that the committee would submit the preliminary report by the previous night. However, officials could not present the findings within the announced timeline.

Health Minister Mustafa Kamal also assured lawmakers that the PIMS tragedy report would arrive shortly. He said the government would take strict action against anyone found responsible.

During his address in the Senate and National Assembly, Mustafa Kamal said that accountability would apply to everyone. He said no one involved in negligence would receive protection.

The minister said he accepted responsibility for the incident as the health minister. He added that officials responsible for any failure would face action according to the law.

Mustafa Kamal also rejected concerns about hiding details of the investigation. He assured lawmakers that authorities would not conceal facts related to the tragedy.

He said that no influential person would escape accountability. According to him, the investigation would identify all responsible individuals, regardless of position.

The health minister also criticized weaknesses in the country’s existing system. He said improving healthcare administration requires serious reforms and effective accountability.

Meanwhile, the National Assembly passed a unanimous resolution regarding the PIMS nursery tragedy. The resolution expressed deep sorrow over the incident and demanded action against those responsible.

Barrister Daniyal Chaudhry presented the resolution and called for a full investigation. It also demanded strict punishment for individuals whose negligence contributed to the tragedy.

The incident has increased public attention toward safety standards in hospitals. People are demanding transparency and immediate steps to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Government officials said the investigation committee would continue its work. They emphasized that the final findings would help determine responsibility and improve safety measures.

The PIMS tragedy report is expected to provide important details about the incident. The findings may reveal possible administrative failures and recommend steps for better hospital management.

Families affected by the tragedy are waiting for clear answers. They want authorities to ensure justice and prevent such heartbreaking incidents from happening again.

The delay in releasing the PIMS tragedy report has created concerns among lawmakers and citizens. Authorities now face pressure to complete the investigation process and share the findings.

Officials stated that the government remains committed to accountability. They said the investigation would continue until all facts become clear.
