Pak Identity Website (id.nadra.gov.pk): Step-by-Step Guide

The Pak Identity website — id.nadra.gov.pk — is NADRA’s official web portal for identity services. If you prefer a computer over a phone, this is where you renew your CNIC, correct your record, request an FRC or apply for a NICOP. This guide walks through the site section by section.

Quick answer: Go to id.nadra.gov.pk (type it yourself — only .gov.pk addresses are NADRA’s), sign up with your email and mobile number, complete biometric verification, and choose your service from the dashboard. The portal mirrors the Pak-ID app’s services for desktop users.

Finding the Real Site

Type id.nadra.gov.pk directly into your browser. Do not Google “pakistan identity website” and click the first ad — lookalike domains ending in .com or .pk sell “NADRA services” that NADRA never authorised. The genuine portal carries NADRA branding and never asks for payment outside its own checkout.

Signing Up

Click Sign Up and register with your email address and the mobile number you want linked to the account. You will verify the number with an OTP. New accounts complete a biometric step — usually through the Pak-ID app’s face scan — proving you are the person on the record. Keep your CNIC handy: the number you enter must match NADRA’s database exactly.

Using the Dashboard

After login, the dashboard is your control room. “New Application” starts a service request; “Existing Applications” shows every application you have filed with live statuses — In-Process, Completed, Rejected or Cancelled. Clicking an application opens a status tab with a detailed progress breakdown.

Services on the Portal

  • CNIC renewal, modification and duplicate — see our online application guide
  • Family Registration Certificate — FRC guide
  • NICOP for overseas Pakistanis — NICOP guide
  • Fee payment via cards, JazzCash, EasyPaisa or eSahulat PSID

I forgot my portal password. What now?

Use the “Forgot Password” link on the sign-in page — a reset link goes to your registered email. If you have lost access to that email, you will need to contact NADRA support or visit a centre with your CNIC.

Why does the portal ask me to use the app?

Biometric verification (face scan/fingerprint) needs your phone’s camera and sensors, so the portal hands that step to the Pak-ID app. Once verified, you can continue in the browser.

Is the website the same as the Pak-ID app?

Same services, same NADRA backend — different front end. The app suits phone-first users; the portal suits desktop users handling document-heavy applications.
