The Pakistan Fuel Supply network will continue operating across the country despite ongoing discussions between the government and the oil transport sector. The All
Pakistan Oil Owners Association confirmed that it has no plans to suspend the transportation of petroleum products. The announcement aims to reassure consumers and prevent concerns over fuel availability.
Association Chairman Mir Shams Shahwani said oil tankers will continue delivering petroleum products without interruption. He stressed that the association stands with the people of Pakistan during the current situation.
Therefore, fuel deliveries will remain active to ensure motorists, businesses, and essential services receive the supplies they need.
The latest announcement comes as the association continues negotiations with the federal government. Officials have discussed freight charges and several long-standing issues affecting the oil transportation sector.
At the same time, both sides continue working toward practical solutions through regular meetings.
According to Shahwani, representatives from the association have held multiple discussions with the Prime Minister’s adviser and officials from the relevant ministries. He expressed confidence that both parties will reach an agreement soon. Moreover, he said, continued dialogue remains the best path toward resolving outstanding concerns.
The Pakistan Fuel Supply system plays a critical role in supporting transportation, industries, agriculture, and emergency services. Any disruption could affect millions of people across the country. For that reason, the association emphasized its commitment to maintaining smooth fuel deliveries during negotiations.
Shahwani also urged the government to remain firm while addressing challenges within the sector. He encouraged authorities to take decisive action against individuals or groups involved in corrupt practices. Furthermore, he said transparent policies would strengthen confidence among transport operators and the public alike.
Meanwhile, global energy prices continue to influence domestic fuel costs. International crude oil prices have increased in recent weeks, placing additional pressure on importing countries, including Pakistan. As a result, consumers have experienced higher fuel prices across the country.
Despite these challenges, Shahwani acknowledged the government’s efforts to reduce the financial burden on citizens. He said policymakers continue exploring different measures that could provide relief while maintaining a stable supply of petroleum products. He added that cooperation between public institutions and industry stakeholders remains essential.
The association believes uninterrupted transportation will help avoid unnecessary panic in fuel markets. Consequently, oil companies, filling stations, and transport operators can continue serving customers without facing major logistical disruptions. This stability also supports businesses that rely on regular fuel deliveries for daily operations.
Industry representatives also encouraged the public to avoid panic buying. They explained that sufficient transportation arrangements remain in place and that oil tankers continue operating on their normal schedules. Therefore, consumers should expect regular fuel availability unless unexpected circumstances arise.
The Pakistan Fuel Supply announcement has offered reassurance at a time when energy markets remain uncertain worldwide. Although discussions over transport rates and policy matters continue, the association has made it clear that nationwide fuel deliveries will not stop.
As negotiations move forward, both the government and industry leaders hope to resolve remaining issues while ensuring a stable and reliable fuel supply for the people of Pakistan.
