How to Pay Passport Fee Online in Pakistan: Asaan App, Raast & PSID
Paying your Pakistani passport fee no longer means a bank queue. DGIP’s cashless system lets you generate a PSID and pay from any bank app, Easypaisa, JazzCash — or directly by card. Here is every method that works in 2026.
Quick answer: Generate a PSID (Payment Slip ID) on the DGIP portal or the Passport Fee Asaan app, then pay via Raast QR, 1Bill, internet banking, ATM, Easypaisa/JazzCash or any 1Link member bank — or pay by Visa/Mastercard at the end of the online application. Fees are non-refundable, so confirm the amount first.

All Payment Methods (2026)
- Passport Fee Asaan app — DGIP’s official app: generate your PSID and pay in-app.
- Raast QR — scan the QR shown on the portal and approve in your bank app.
- 1Bill — pay the PSID from any bank’s internet banking or mobile app.
- ATM / branch — pay the PSID at any 1Link member bank, including National Bank of Pakistan.
- Easypaisa / JazzCash — pay the PSID from your mobile wallet.
- Visa/Mastercard — card payment at the final step of the online application (essential for overseas applicants).
Paying with a PSID, Step by Step
- Complete your application on onlinemrp.dgip.gov.pk (or at the passport office counter) and note the fee amount for your chosen pages, validity and speed.
- Generate a PSID — the system issues a unique Payment Slip ID against your application.
- Open your bank app, Easypaisa or JazzCash, choose 1Bill/bill payment, and enter the PSID.
- Verify the amount and applicant name match, then confirm.
- You receive an SMS acknowledgement on your registered handset. Keep the PSID receipt until your passport is in hand.
Paying by Card
On the online portal, the last step accepts Visa and Mastercard debit/credit cards directly — the simplest route for overseas Pakistanis. The card must be enabled for online transactions.
Warnings: No Refunds, No Agents
Two things DGIP repeats constantly: fees are non-refundable once paid, even if your application is rejected or abandoned — so check the fee table (see our e-passport fee guide) before paying. And never pay an individual — DGIP has warned against scammers collecting fees via JazzCash or personal bank accounts. Pay only through official channels, and report fraud to the helpline (see our DGIP helpline guide).
