KARACHI: Sindh police have formed a new five-member investigation team to examine the murder of young businessman Mir Raza Ali. The development brings a fresh phase of investigation into the Mir Raza Case.
The Inspector General of Police, Sindh, ordered the formation of the new team after authorities found differences in the second post-mortem examination. Officials examined the exhumation of Mir Raza Ali’s body.
The new development has increased the importance of forensic and other evidence connected with the investigation. Therefore, investigators will now review the available material and examine whether any additional evidence can help establish the facts.
According to details, DIG Crime and Investigation Sindh Aamir Farooqui will lead the five-member team as chairman. Meanwhile, SSP RRF Al-Falah Syed Muhammad Ali Raza will perform duties as secretary of the investigation team.
Police have also included three other officials in the committee to strengthen the investigation. They include SP Investigation Korangi Qais Khan, SP Investigation Central Anam Tajammul, and Ghazanfar, who heads the investigation unit at Zaman Town Police Station.
The authorities have given the team a broad mandate to investigate the Mir Raza Case from different angles. Investigators will revisit previous findings and examine all relevant developments connected with the businessman’s death.
Moreover, the team will search for new or additional evidence that could help investigators understand the circumstances surrounding the case. Officers will collect, preserve, and carefully examine any material they consider relevant to the investigation.
