He was thirty years old, and he had his whole life ahead of him. On 24 October 2026, Sepoy Taseer Ahmed Shaheed embraced shahadat in the general area of Zarkani, Dera Ismail Khan, fighting the terrorists who threaten this land. Today, Talagang mourns its son, and Pakistan remembers him.

First of all, Taseer Ahmed was a Sepoy of the Pakistan Army, and he came from Thoha Muhram Khan, Dhok Kachhi, in district Talagang. In Talagang, the people call him Malik Taseer, and they call his land the land of martyrs and ghazis. He was one of their own, a young man who chose the uniform and the hard duty that comes with it.
Sepoy Taseer Ahmed Shaheed: The Son of Talagang
Sepoy Taseer Ahmed Shaheed belonged to the soil of Talagang, and his people remember him with pride. For example, the tribute shared in his honour says the land of Talagang is the land of martyrs and ghazis, and it salutes the martyrs of the Pakistan Army. That is a salute a district does not give lightly. It belongs to the son who stood between his people and the enemy, and who did not come home.
At the same time, a soldier’s life is a life of long duties, hard ground, and constant danger. The soldiers stand guard in the mountains and the plains while their families wait at home. Sepoy Taseer Ahmed Shaheed lived that life with honour. His district remembers him for it.
The Day Sepoy Taseer Ahmed Shaheed Embraced Shahadat
On 24 October 2026, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the general area of Zarkani, Dera Ismail Khan, on reports of terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij. Six terrorists were killed in the operation. However, during the intense exchange of fire, Naik Ghulam Murtaza and Sepoy Taseer Ahmed fought gallantly and embraced shahadat. Taseer Ahmed was thirty years old.
Later, the military’s media wing said the two soldiers had fought gallantly and paid the ultimate sacrifice. Their sacrifice, it said, further strengthens the resolve to safeguard the nation at all costs. A sanitisation operation was launched to clear the area of any remaining terrorists.
The Original Tribute
The tribute posted in his honour reads as follows (the original caption is in Urdu; the lines below are its English rendering):
The son of district Talagang, Malik Taseer, sacrificed his life while protecting the sacred land.
This martyr belongs to Thoha Muhram Khan, Dhok Kachhi.
May Allah raise the martyr’s ranks. Amen.
The land of district Talagang is the land of martyrs and ghazis. Salute to the martyrs of the Pakistan Army.
His Sacrifice, Our Future
The soldiers who guard this country stand day and night like a wall before the nation. They take the enemy’s bullet on their own chests so that it never reaches the people behind them. Their sacrifices guarantee the bright future the rest of us walk into every morning.
As a result, every year on 24 October, his shahadat anniversary will return, and tributes will honour a young life given in the service of the nation. Meanwhile, the country will remember Sepoy Taseer Ahmed Shaheed’s services with pride. May Allah raise his ranks, grant him the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous, and bless Pakistan with peace and security.
Above all, remember this: he was young, he was brave, and he was ours. Will you keep his memory alive? Share his story, and let Talagang know that Pakistan has not forgotten its son. Pakistan will never forget him.
