Summer Vacations 2026 Begin May 23

The Balochistan Education Department has officially announced Summer Vacations 2026 for schools and colleges across the province. The department released a formal notification and confirmed that educational institutions in hot areas will close from May 23.

According to officials, the Summer Vacations 2026 schedule will remain in effect until July 31. The decision aims to protect students and teachers from extreme weather conditions during the peak summer season.

Authorities said all public and private schools and colleges located in warmer regions will follow the new holiday schedule. In addition, education officials directed institutions to complete all pending administrative tasks before the vacations begin.

The department also issued important instructions for principals and school heads. Officials asked them to organize office records and finalize management work before leaving for the holidays. Therefore, institutions can avoid operational problems when classes resume after the break.

At the same time, the department warned that some staff members may not receive leave benefits during Summer Vacations 2026. Officials explained that teachers and administrators who still have pending duties related to the digital census must continue their responsibilities during the vacation period.

Education authorities further instructed regional officers to ensure the strict implementation of the notification. Moreover, officials want all institutions to follow the announced schedule without delay or violation.

The announcement has brought relief to students and parents across the province. Many families had waited for confirmation because temperatures continue to rise in several districts of Balochistan. As a result, parents welcomed the decision and expressed support for early holidays.

Meanwhile, other provinces have also announced summer break schedules. Earlier, the Sindh Education Department confirmed that Summer Vacations 2026 in Sindh schools will continue from June 1 to July 31. Officials stated that the decision applies to both government and private institutions.

Similarly, Punjab authorities have already started preparations for summer holidays in schools and colleges. Education departments across Pakistan are now continuing to monitor weather conditions before reopening institutions after the summer season.

The latest notification highlights how provincial governments continue to adjust academic schedules in response to climate conditions. Furthermore, officials believe the early closure of institutions will help students stay safe during intense heatwaves and rising temperatures across the country.
