Pakistan-Sri Lanka Test Tickets From Rs200
Pakistan-Sri Lanka Test tickets go on sale on Friday from 2pm, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced. The five-day match begins at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Monday, 9 November, and will run until 13 November.
The PCB said physical tickets would be available at designated TCS Express Centres across Rawalpindi and Islamabad. The second Test will be played at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium from 17 to 21 November, and both matches form part of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27. Geo Super reported the announcement on Thursday.
What Sri Lanka Test tickets cost
The PCB has kept prices low for the Rawalpindi Test. Tickets for all five days cost Rs200 for the General (Miran Bakhsh and Sohail Tanvir), First-Class (Shoaib Akhtar and Yasir Arafat), Premium (Azhar Mahmood and Javed Miandad) and VIP (Imran Khan and Javed Akhtar) enclosures.
Tickets for the PCB Gallery, located in the stadium's main building, will cost Rs800 per person per day. Fans can also buy seats in the Platinum Box for Rs8,000 per person per day.
The flat Rs200 price means a fan can watch a full day of Test cricket cheaply, and full stands in Rawalpindi would lift the home side in a series that matters for its World Test Championship standing.
Where to buy tickets
Physical tickets will be available at the TCS Express Centre on Kashmir Road in Saddar, Rawalpindi, and at the Box Office at Aviation Ground on Rawal Road.
Fans in Islamabad can buy tickets from Plot No. 394-A, Potohar Road, near the police station in Sector I-9/3. Another designated outlet is the TCS Regional Office near Fazaia Colony on Link Road, Khanna, Rawalpindi.
The PCB said details about ticket sales for the second Test in Lahore would be announced in due course. Fans planning to attend in Lahore will need to wait for that announcement before making arrangements.
Sri Lanka's first Test tour since 2019
The series marks Sri Lanka's first Test tour of Pakistan since 2019. During that visit, Pakistan, led by Azhar Ali, secured a 1-0 series victory after the opening Test in Rawalpindi ended in a draw, before winning the second match in Karachi.
Historically, Pakistan and Sri Lanka have faced each other in 59 Test matches. Pakistan have won 23 encounters, while Sri Lanka have registered 17 victories. The remaining 19 matches ended in draws.
Pakistan go into the series looking to steady a difficult red-ball campaign. Feature Pakistan reported that Pakistan plan a Test shake-up before the Sri Lanka series, with changes expected in the side after a poor run in the format. The two Tests in Rawalpindi and Lahore are the first home Tests of the season and a chance to rebuild confidence.
The build-up is under way: Feature Pakistan reported on the Sri Lanka warm-up match against the Patrons XI, the visitors' first outing on Pakistani soil.
A busy home season
The Tests are part of a packed home season. Feature Pakistan reported that Pakistan beat Sri Lanka in the tri-series final in Lahore in October, and the focus now shifts to the longer format, where Pakistan sit near the bottom of the World Test Championship table.
Off the field, the PCB has been dealing with player availability for franchise leagues. Feature Pakistan reported that the Abu Dhabi T10 is in doubt as the PCB demands an NOC fee from players, affecting 16 Pakistan players named in T10 squads.
For fans, the news is simple: tickets go on sale on Friday afternoon, the cheapest seats cost Rs200, and Test cricket returns to Rawalpindi on Monday.
