K-Festival 2026 Brings Korean Culture to Karachi
K-Festival 2026 Karachi will bring Korean culture to LuckyOne Mall from November 13 to 15, with Korean products, food, beauty showcases and live music on the programme.
The Karachi Office of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea is organising the event with the Karachi office of the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, known as KOTRA. It will bring together Korean businesses, local distributors, cultural performers and enthusiasts of Korean culture.
The festival is open to the public and is aimed at Karachi residents who want to explore Korean products while experiencing the country’s cultural traditions and contemporary lifestyle.
What visitors will see
The event will feature an exhibition of Korean consumer products, alongside cultural activities and interactive experiences, including K-Beauty and K-Lifestyle showcases. Visitors will also have the chance to explore Korean cultural exhibits and try on traditional Korean attire, known as Hanbok.
Nine exhibition booths will showcase a diverse range of Korean consumer products, including cosmetics, food items, household goods, automotive accessories and electronic devices.
Leading Korean companies, including Samsung Electronics and Lotte Kolson, will take part, along with 14 local premium distribution networks and vendors.
Joohoon Kim, Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Karachi, announced the festival at a press briefing at his residence. He said the festival was designed to give Karachi residents an opportunity to explore Korean products while experiencing the country’s cultural traditions and contemporary lifestyle.
nuMori and the K-pop contest
One of the main attractions will be a special performance by nuMori, a Korean music band invited from the Republic of Korea. The band will perform on Sunday, November 15, immediately after the festival’s opening ceremony. The opening ceremony, nuMori’s live performance and the K-Pop Festival will all be held on Sunday from 4:30 pm.
nuMori is a musical group that plays Electro Gugak, a genre that blends traditional Korean music with contemporary K-pop and rock. Since making its debut in 2016, the band has earned international recognition for its distinctive style, including an invitation to perform at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in the United States.
The band will also represent the Republic of Korea at the World Culture Festival, organised by the Arts Council of Karachi, on Monday, November 16, at about 8:00 pm.
Another major attraction will be the K-Pop Festival, titled KTS: Karachi to Seoul, which will take place following nuMori’s performance on Sunday. Nine teams that qualified through preliminary auditions will compete in vocal and dance categories. Korean electronic products will be awarded to the first, second and third-place winners after the final judging.
K-Festival 2026 Karachi: a week of Korean culture in the city
The festival comes at a busy time for cultural events in the city. The World Culture Festival at the Arts Council of Karachi is already under way, and nuMori’s appearance there on November 16 means Karachi audiences will get two chances to see the band in three days.
The Korean Embassy’s Karachi office said the three-day event should provide an excellent opportunity for residents to experience Korean culture firsthand while exploring a wide range of quality Korean consumer products. The office reaffirmed its commitment to expanding cultural exchange between Pakistan and the Republic of Korea, with the aim of promoting greater mutual understanding, stronger people-to-people contacts and shared cultural experiences.
The festival is expected to draw considerable interest from Korean culture enthusiasts, particularly young people interested in K-pop, Korean entertainment, fashion, beauty products and lifestyle trends.
Related culture coverage includes the World Culture Festival Day Six in Karachi, the World Culture Festival Day Four, the fall in foreign tourist arrivals and the Diwali holiday announced in Sindh.
