Lieutenant Faraz Malik served with 117 Long Course, ex 18 Field Artillery and 20 Sindh Regiment. In October 2009, he proved his courage twice over. Then, on 30 October, he led his company against a well-fortified enemy position. Despite the enemy’s greater numbers, he kept his men’s morale high and inflicted heavy losses. His leadership therefore turned two hard days into victories.
