Three of Family Die in Toba Tek Singh Road Crash
Three of a family died in Toba Tek Singh after a chain of collisions on a rural road on Saturday night. Dawn reported the incident on November 2, 2026. The family was riding a bike when it collided with a rickshaw near Chak 43GB of Pirmahal tehsil, on the Shorkot Cantonment-Rafiqui Airbase Road. After falling on the road, the family was run over by a tractor-trolley.
According to Rescue 1122, Muhammad Yasin, 50, of Kamalia, his wife and two children were critically injured in the incident. Later, Yasin, his daughter Sahira Fatima, 8, and his son Muhammad Saif, 7, succumbed to their injuries. His wife and the rickshaw driver were undergoing treatment in hospital. The report does not give a further update on their condition.
The sequence matters because it shows how a single collision can turn fatal on a mixed-traffic road. A bike, a rickshaw and a tractor-trolley were all using the same stretch at night. Once the family fell, they were exposed to passing heavy traffic with no barrier or safe space to move to. Rescue 1122, which reported the incident, is the source for the names, ages and the order of events given here.
Toba Tek Singh: a second crash in the same roundup
Dawn same roundup reported a second, separate crash in Faisalabad. Five car riders sustained critical wounds when their speeding vehicle turned over after its tyre burst near Randhaw Chowk, on Aminpur-Kamalpur Bypass Roads in Faisalabad. They were shifted to the Allied Hospital. They were identified as Tariq Afzal, 50, Chanda Shahbaz, 10, Azan Shahbaz, 12, Ibrahim Rashid, 10, and Ali Akbar, 28, all belonging to Chak 67 JB Sadhar.
That second crash is not linked to the Toba Tek Singh incident, and it should not be read as part of the same collision. It is included here because it was reported alongside the main incident, and because it points to a wider pattern: tyre failure at speed, and mixed traffic on bypass and rural roads, can turn a mechanical fault or a minor collision into a mass casualty event. In the Faisalabad case, five people, including three children aged 10 to 12, were critically wounded in one vehicle.
Why rural road crashes turn deadly
Rural roads in Punjab carry a difficult mix. Bikes carry whole families, rickshaws stop and turn without warning, tractor-trolleys move slowly with wide loads, and cars travel fast on bypass stretches. At night, visibility falls, and a fallen rider has little time to get clear. Helmets, seat belts and speed limits help, but they do not remove the core risk: light and heavy vehicles sharing the same carriageway with no separation.
Rescue 1122 response is the first link in survival after such crashes. In this case, the injured were taken to hospital, but three members of one family still died. That outcome raises questions that only a fuller police and Rescue 1122 report can answer: what speed were the vehicles travelling at, was the tractor-trolley lit, and was the road stretch known for prior collisions? Dawn report does not answer those questions, and this article does not guess at them.
