Punjab CTI Tentative Merit List 2026 Released
The Higher Education Department of Punjab has released the tentative merit list for College Teaching Intern (CTI) candidates for 2026. The Punjab CTI merit list 2026 was announced on October 23, 2026, through the official CTI recruitment portal, and candidates who applied for CTI posts can now check their names and merit positions online.
According to the official announcement, applicants should visit the CTI portal and review their tentative merit status. The department has advised candidates to check their names and positions on the list carefully.
How to check the Punjab CTI merit list 2026
Candidates can check the tentative merit list through the official portal at cti-hep.punjab.gov.pk. Applicants should open the CTI portal and go to the Merit List section, where they can see whether their name appears and what merit position has been assigned to them.
Candidates should make sure they are viewing the information relevant to the college and position for which they submitted their application. A candidate who applied for a particular college or subject should check the merit information for that application, rather than for another college or post.
The list covers CTI posts in public colleges across Punjab. College Teaching Interns are hired to teach in colleges, and the merit list ranks applicants for those posts.
What candidates should check
Applicants should review the information displayed in the tentative merit list with care. They should check their name and merit position and compare the details shown with the information submitted during the CTI application process.
Because the list is marked tentative, candidates should treat it as provisional and check it against their own application record. If the college, subject or merit position shown does not match the application, the candidate should re-check the relevant section of the portal before drawing any conclusion.
The announcement does not change the application itself. It simply publishes the tentative ranking so that candidates know where they stand.
Why the list matters for Punjab colleges
The CTI merit list is a key step in staffing public colleges in Punjab. Colleges rely on teaching interns to fill teaching posts, and thousands of applicants compete for those places each year. A published merit list lets candidates plan their next steps, whether that means preparing for a posting or waiting for the final list.
Education announcements in Punjab have been coming thick and fast. The 60 per cent marks requirement for MBBS and BDS admissions remains in place, while private schools in Rawalpindi have been given one week to register. At university level, Karachi University has made new rules for campus events mandatory, and students can also apply for the Prime Minister’s Youth Chromebook Scheme through the IBCC portal.
Candidates who applied for CTI posts should keep checking the official portal for further updates, including the final merit list.
