Oppo Enco X4 Earbuds Promise 53-Hour Battery

Oppo Enco X4 Earbuds Promise 53-Hour Battery

Oppo has launched the Enco X4 wireless earbuds, with lossless audio support, improved active noise cancellation, and up to 53 hours of battery life with the charging case. The Oppo Enco X4 earbuds are priced at about $211 and will go on sale on October 29, 2026.

The new earbuds are positioned against Apple’s AirPods Pro, and they introduce Oppo’s first implementation of the LHDC Lossless audio codec. That makes them a flagship audio product, rather than a simple update to an existing pair of earbuds.

Dual-driver sound with Dynaudio tuning

The Enco X4 features a dual-driver audio system, with an 11mm TRF woofer and a 6mm planar tweeter, each with its own dedicated digital-to-analog converter. Oppo has partnered with Dynaudio to tune five sound profiles, including Pure Vocals and Thundering Bass.

The earbuds support a frequency response range of 10Hz to 40kHz and carry Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification. The Enco X4 also introduces LHDC Lossless audio support, delivering up to 24-bit/48kHz audio at a bitrate of 2.3Mbps.

There is, however, a catch for buyers who want the full lossless experience. Full wireless lossless audio requires a compatible Oppo Find X smartphone, particularly the Find X10 series, and the feature is reportedly disabled by default. Other devices can use AAC, SBC, LHDC, or LC3 codecs.

The earbuds come in two colours: Glacier White and Aurora Violet. They also support spatial audio with head tracking across Android, iOS, and Windows devices, without the same hardware restriction.

Noise cancellation doubled, Oppo claims

Oppo claims the Enco X4 offers a 100 per cent improvement in overall active noise cancellation performance compared with the Enco X3. The earbuds use a 6nm neural processing unit to manage adaptive noise cancellation in real time and improve the reduction of speech-related background noise.

They also feature Conversation Awareness, which automatically lowers music volume and activates transparency mode when the user starts speaking. That is a useful feature for office workers and commuters, who need to hear announcements or colleagues without removing their earbuds.

Each earbud weighs about 5.6 grams, which should make them comfortable for long listening sessions. The earbuds support Bluetooth 6.1 and dual-device pairing, allowing users to connect to two devices at the same time.

Battery life: 53 hours with the case

The headline battery figure is 53 hours with the charging case, when noise cancellation is disabled. On the earbuds alone, playback reaches up to 13 hours in the same mode.

With noise cancellation enabled, battery life drops to about six hours on the earbuds and 26 hours with the case. These figures are based on AAC playback at 50 per cent volume, so real-world use will vary with volume, codec, and features.

Even the lower figures are competitive for flagship earbuds. Most rivals offer around 30 hours with the case when noise cancellation is on, so the Enco X4’s 26 hours is close to the best in its class, while its 53-hour figure with noise cancellation off is well ahead.

AI features, with some limits

Oppo has included AI Clear Calling to improve voice clarity during calls. The Enco X4 also supports AI Live Translation, although the complete translation experience is restricted to select Oppo and OnePlus smartphones running ColorOS 17 or later.

That pattern, strong headline features with some limits on other devices, runs through the whole product. Spatial audio works across platforms, but lossless audio and full translation need compatible Oppo hardware.

Buyers should therefore check which phone they own before buying for a specific feature. For most users, the core strengths, sound quality, noise cancellation, and battery life, will work on any modern phone.

Price and what it means for buyers

At about $211, the Enco X4 sits in flagship earbud territory, below some rivals and above many mid-range options. It goes on sale on October 29, 2026, alongside other new Oppo products.

Oppo has been building a strong audio and tablet range this year. The Oppo Pad Mini launched with an 8.8-inch OLED display, while Apple is reportedly testing a 20-inch foldable iPad for 2028. In the wider market, global PC sales fell 21 per cent as laptop prices climbed, and Huawei’s Pura 90 Plus has opened pre-orders in China.
