Punjab Offers 8 IT Jobs in Lahore, Apply by Nov 8

The Punjab School Education Department has announced eight job vacancies for IT professionals under its Program Monitoring and Implementation Unit (PMIU), inviting online applications for several technical positions in Lahore. Punjab School Education IT jobs are open under the Actions to Strengthen Performance for Inclusive and Responsive Education (ASPIRE) project, which runs through the Punjab Education Sector Reforms Program (PESRP).

Each of the eight positions carries one vacancy. Applications must be submitted through the official PMIU-PESRP jobs portal, and the closing date is November 8, 2026. The department has made clear that it will accept applications only through the online portal. Applications submitted by hand, courier or any other method will not be considered.

Applicants must hold a Master’s degree or a Bachelor’s (Honours) degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or another relevant discipline from a local or foreign university recognised by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). The advertisement lists additional preferences for certain posts. For the Software Team Lead role, candidates with knowledge of Scrum and Agile development will be preferred, and PMP or PRINCE2 certification holders will also receive preference.

Database Administrator applicants will receive preference if they hold relevant database administration certifications. The DevOps Engineer + Cyber Security post prefers candidates with a Certified DevOps Engineer qualification. The Senior Software Engineer post also accepts relevant qualifications in Artificial Intelligence, with preference for professionals who specialise in the field. QA/Test Engineer applicants should know about SQL injection and load testing, and the Network/System Administrator post lists professional networking certifications among its preferred qualifications.

The advertisement gives project pay scales but does not publish fixed monthly salary amounts for the posts. Candidates should therefore check the portal for the full advertisement and final instructions before they apply, rather than relying on salary figures shared elsewhere. The details were first reported by ProPakistani.

How to apply, and what to check first

Interested candidates must apply through the official PMIU-PESRP recruitment portal at jobs.pesrp.edu.pk. They must open the online form, select the post they want, and enter personal details, educational qualifications, relevant professional experience and employment history. The system also requires candidates to upload a CV, educational documents, experience certificates and CNIC, along with a valid no-objection certificate where required for current government employees.

Only shortlisted candidates who meet the prescribed qualifications and experience requirements, supported by documentary evidence, will be called for a test or interview. Applicants should review every entry before they submit, since the portal is the only route in.

The jobs also sit inside a wider education-technology push in Punjab. The province is digitising special education with new learning modules and teacher training, as covered in our report on Punjab digitising special education. The eight PMIU posts are the technical staff that work of this kind depends on, from software and databases to networks and cyber security.
