Madrid: Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has strongly criticized Donald Trump, saying the world cannot continue to hear threatening statements from a global leader on a daily basis.
Speaking at an event in Spain, the Brazilian president expressed concern over what he described as repeated aggressive rhetoric. He said it is not acceptable for a head of state to make statements that create fear or suggest conflict.
Lula emphasized that world leaders must act responsibly and avoid interfering in the internal matters of other nations. He stated that no country’s leader should attempt to influence elections or seek votes in another country.
He also criticized the performance of the United Nations Security Council, calling on its five permanent members to review their policies. According to him, the council has failed to effectively address ongoing conflicts, particularly in the Middle East.
The Brazilian president urged global powers to adopt a more balanced and responsible approach to international diplomacy, stressing the need for cooperation instead of confrontation.
His remarks come at a time of heightened global tensions, with increasing scrutiny on the role of major powers in maintaining peace and stability.
