Six years have passed, and the sky he flew in has not forgotten him. On 29 October 2020, Maj Kashif Khan Shaheed embraced shahadat in a tragic car accident near Gujranwala, while going for his duty. Today, on his 6th shahadat anniversary, Pakistan remembers an aviator who left home for duty and never came back.

The photograph shows him in his flight suit, standing beside a small aircraft, with the name “Capt Kashif” on his chest. He was an officer of the 125th Long Course, ex BR/Avn. In other words, he belonged to the Army’s aviation family, and the sky was his place of duty.
Maj Kashif Khan Shaheed: An Aviator Who Left for Duty
In fact, a soldier’s duty does not wait for a safe day. Maj Kashif Khan Shaheed was on his way to duty when the accident took his life near Gujranwala. He did not fall in battle, yet he fell on duty. That is why his people call him a shaheed, and that is why his name still lives in their prayers.
At the same time, his story is a reminder of the quiet risks of military life. The nation often hears of battles and operations. However, many soldiers also lose their lives on the road, on the way to their posts, in the line of duty. Their sacrifice is no smaller, and their families carry the same grief.
